Itinerary

Day 1

Places: Airport Pickup, Guwahati to Shillong, Shillong sightseeing (150Km/8hrs). Stay: Shillong.

We will receive you at Guwahati Airport. From there we will take you straight to Scotland of the East, the beautiful hill station, Shillong. Shillong is famous for its Scotland like weather, and its scenic beauty with green hills and pine trees. We will stop at Umiam lake to enjoy the panoramic lake view. Depending on the availability of time, we will show you the sightseeing spots like Cathedral of Mary Help of Christian Church, Ward's Lake, Don Bosco Museum, Elephant falls, and Shillong peak. Stay in Shillong. Please note that local taxi will be required to visit Shillong Peak.

Day 2

Places: Shillong to Markham Valley & Wah Rilang Sightseeing (200 km/9 hrs). Stay: Shillong.

After breakfast, drive from Shillong to Markham Valley, a beautiful and offbeat highland meadow located in the West Khasi Hills of Meghalaya. Often referred to as the “Mini Dzukou” of Meghalaya, Markham Valley is known for its scenic landscapes, rolling green hills, and peaceful surroundings. After exploring Markham Valley, proceed towards Wah Rilang Viewpoint, an offbeat and scenic destination located along the Nongstoin Road in the South West Khasi Hills district of Meghalaya. The viewpoint is known for its panoramic views of deep valleys, lush green meadows, and the winding Rilang River below. After completing the sightseeing, drive back to Shillong and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3

Places: Shillong to Mawlynnong, Mawlynnong & Dawki sightseeing, Dawki to Cherrapunji (240km/8hrs). Stay: Cherrapunji.

In the morning, we will head towards the Asia's cleanest village Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong is famous for its cleanliness and living root bridges. We will further take you to Dawki, about 20 kilometers south of Mawlynnong. Dawki lies at the border of India and Bangladesh and is famous for a suspension bridge over Umngot River (commonly known as Dawki bridge) constructed by British in 1932. Optional boating is also available on the crystal clear waters of Umngot River. After sightseeing at Dawki, we will head towards Cherrapunji for the night's stay.

Day 4

Places: Cherrapunji sightseeing. (50Km/7hrs). Stay: Cherrapunji.

This day would be sightseeing at the wettest place on the Earth! Yes, we are talking about Cherrapunji, which holds the all-time record for the most rainfall in a year. Cherrapunji is famous for Wah Kaba falls, Arwah Lumshynna Cave, Nohkalikai waterfalls, Mawsawa falls, Prut waterfall, Seven Sister waterfalls (Nohsngithiang Falls) Mawsmai caves (and of course the unending rainfalls of summer), Garden of caves, Thangarang Park etc. We will show you all the notable places in Cherrapunji. The night's stay will be at the same place in Cherrapunji. Please note that Garden of Caves sightseeing can be done if time permits.

Day 5

Places: Trekking at Cherrapunji (50km/8hrs). Stay: Cherrapunji.

This day will be a fun day for trekkers. After breakfast in the early morning, we will take you for trekking in the Khasi hills. The complete trekking will be of about 8 kilometres (walking distance; not aerial distance) estimated to cover in a time period of 5 hours. This trekking will include the hiking of the Khasi hills, through Nongriat village, to double decker living root bridge and further to the Rainbow falls. If you,re a trekking enthusiast, you can finish this trek by late afternoon, and go ahead for another short trek of 1 hour to the living root bridge of Umunoi and Umkar. After finishing the adventures of trekking in Cherrapunji, we will return to our resort for a relaxing stay. Note that trekking activity is optional in the package. The stay will be at the same place in Cherrapunji.

Day 6

Places: Cherrapunji to Bulls Trek & Laitlum Canyon Sightseeing (90 km/7 hrs). Stay: Shillong.

After breakfast, proceed from Cherrapunji to Bulls Trek, a scenic and offbeat nature trail located in Mylliem, Meghalaya. Often referred to as the “Mini Switzerland of the Northeast,” the trail features rolling green landscapes, dense pine forests, and a crystal-clear mountain stream at the bottom of the valley. The trail is known as Bulls Trek because local villagers historically used this route to take their cattle down into the valley for grazing. The trek covers approximately 1.8 km each way, making it a 3.6 km round trip. The descent into the valley takes around 30 to 50 minutes, while the steep climb back takes approximately 45 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on your fitness level. After completing the trek, stop for lunch. Later, visit Laitlum Canyon, a beautiful viewpoint offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding green valleys and hills. After completing the sightseeing, drive to Shillong and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7

Places: Shillong to Guwahati, Airport Drop (130Km/4hrs).

After Breakfast, we will check out from hotel. If time permits, we will do some sightseeing of your choice within city then, drive back to Guwahati Airport with the sweet memories of the trip with Paradise Northeast (Kaziranga Travels).

All sightseeing, land transfer & inter hotel transfer.
Driver allowance, Toll, Parking, Road Tax, Fuel charge, night halt, Interstate charges, Kaziranga Forest toll and forest guard welfare fees are included.
Child below 5 yrs sharing same bed with parents will be complimentary and will be according to hotel rules.

5% GST will be charged on the total cost.
Entry fees of sightseeing spots, camera fees and optional activity/service costs like Rafting, Trekking, Guide fees etc are not included in the package.

For Foreign Nationals, surcharges like national park entry fees, Protected Area Permit and mandatory guide fees (for Arunachal State trips) are excluded.

Vehicle Details

The standard package cost is calculated for either a Toyota Innova (AC) or a Mahindra Maarazzo (AC). So, a dedicated vehicle of the said type, with a dedicated driver, would be provided for all of the five package options.

Above rates are calculated on the basis of hotels mentioned.
Paradise Northeast does NOT have any HIDDEN CHARGES.
If someone asks for extra money during the journey, Please inform us. We will not be responsible if you pay the amount without our knowledge and consent.
Booking will be confirmed only after receiving the advance payment.
In case of non availability of rooms in the mentioned hotels, this will be communicated to you and we will provide other options.
Hotels for each category are selected as per the budget and through our feedback system.
There is no star category hotel available in all places. However, we provide the best possible option as per your tour category.
Certain hotel may enforce special tariffs for mandatory gala/dinner on special dates like Christmas and/or New Year's Eve etc. The surcharge in the hotel tariff is not included while calculating the total cost of the package. You may need to pay additional amount for certain hotels for some special dates.
The dedicated vehicle provided to you is only to serve you the itinerary. It is not at your disposal.
As per Tawang local laws, outside vehicles are not allowed for local sightseeing. Therefore, we may have to arrange different local vehicle for Tawang sightseeing and we can’t assure about the quality of that vehicle as they provide vehicles as per their methods.
Credit Cards / Traveler's check are not freely accepted in many places.
In this region, roof carriers are not allowed in the vehicles. So, it is advised to bring luggage accordingly.
We advise you to check the temperature/weather of the places you are going to visit, and bring necessary clothes accordingly.
Woolen clothes, Jacket, Raincoat/Umbrella etc. are advisable to carry according to weather conditions.
We suggest you to check reviews and location of hotels mentioned to make sure it is as per your preferences before confirming the package.
Any extra breakfast for kids which is not mentioned has to be paid directly by guest as per the hotel policy.
Paradise Northeast has the right to upgrade any hotel room type or vehicle type without charging extra amount from the guest. However, we never downgrade the same.
The guest must carry photo identification like Passport, Voter ID Card or Driving License IN ORIGINAL at the point of check in at the hotel.

The normal check-in time for a hotel is 2 PM, and normal check-out time for a hotel is 11 AM. However, this is subjected to change as per the hotel policies. The timing of meals and/or inclusions of a certain hotel room are as per the hotel policies.
